I.S. 192 Piagentini-Jones Counseling Services is staffed by professional school counselors who advocate, collaborate and facilitate individual and system to ensure every student has the knowledge and skills necessary for academic success and personal growth.School counselors strive to empower students to embrace their full potential and to achieve their personal and academic aspirations.

Philosophy & Beliefs

The philosophy of  I.S. 192 Pagentini-Jones is to provide a comprehensive school counseling program that promotes and enhances student learning through three broad and interrelated areas of student development. Each of these areas of student development encompass a variety of desired student learning competencies, which in turn are comprised of specific knowledge, attitudes and skills. The foundation of a developmental school counseling program includes:

Comprehensive school counseling programs is an integral part of the total educational program.  Counselors serve a vital role in ensuring that all students become successful learners. All students benefit from school counseling program that are developmental in nature, preventive in design and comprehensive in scope.
